WOULD YOU, BABY?
(formerly LET’S STAY TOGETHER
by The Reverend Al Green)

I’ve spoken in length about my reverence for the Reverend. This is a song you can’t turn off when it comes on the radio. I can’t sing like Al Green…no one can. SO I had to sing like me. That there is the real me. I spent countless hours practicing this song. Acapella; Acoustic; Electric. You name it. If I was going to attempt to sing one of the greatest songs ever recorded, I was going to give it everything I had.
This was recorded by Dom Ursone off the soundboard at the legendary Geraldine’s in West Springfield, MA. I’m so glad Dom found this show because it features Kurt Rosenbecker on bass, Ryan Healy on drums, and Kevin Beck on keyboards. Man, they sound great, too…Dom and I play rhythm parts.
