ROSE COLORED MASSES
Another song from the Zoom Porta Studio. Written in January of 2009, but, now that I’ve watched the Presidency become nothing more important than a movie trilogy, it lends itself to ANY change of administration. I’m oddly proud of that!
SIDE NOTE: I sent a copy of this to drummer Jonathan Lichtig and he INSTANTLY told me he HATED IT.
I fully understood what he meant by that, because he THEN followed up by telling me it was in his head for weeks afterwards. We call that an EARWORM.
The joy in the last chorus of multiple ME’s singing in a backporch harmony is real by the way.
I was quite happy the day I recorded ROSE COLORED MASSES, and I still dig the pun.
