SAILING
A Zoom Porta Studio recording. I bought a Les Paul. I was playing around with the new tonal varieties I could harness with the double humbuckers. I found a nice setting on the amp. I needed a vehicle to record the tones onto, so I thought I’d use the long intro we would play for LOVE THE ONE YOU’RE WITH with Mr. Fables to noodle on top of. Slammed a couple of power chords on there, too just to check the sustain. Next thing you know I’m dreaming of three-part CROSBY STILLS AND NASH harmonies with a sequencer background. Marrying the new and the old. We never did get to play it live, and I was a bit bummed we never got the sequencer going in the studio. I do have a soft spot for this demo, though.
