STORM
The first serious song I had written. My Grandfather had just passed away from less than ideal circumstances and I was not pleased. It was unfair to him, and my family I’d thought. I took pen to paper and then to guitar. The real hero of this song is Bryan Bakevich who left his Tascam 4 track at the boathouse. I tried calling Bryan forever about getting it back to him but to no avail.
I wrote three songs that night and this was the first. You know, you like your first better than all the rest according to many parents. I can see that….warts and all. This song has been tried many times out live with a few bands, but this one still resonates best in my ears. I sound like a 65 year old man but I’m only 23 or 24. Glad to have this recording back in my possession after over a decade missing.
