CARCINOGEN PURE

The second I put the capo on my Yamaha acoustic and strummed the C#m11 chord, I may have well hit pause on life in general because I wasn’t moving from the spot until I finished this song. There was something about that sound on that day with my fingers on that instrument…it was music. Was it EMO? (A genre of music from the late ’90’s that was considered self-centered and mainly for teens who felt misunderstood.) Maybe, but it was also pointed AT ’emo”. I was far from a teenager, and the point of the song is what the peeps on Social Media phrase as “You Are Enough.”
No guitar solos. Everyone plays as a whole for the common goal of the song, for better or worse. If it works, it works. If it doesn’t, so be it.
Recorded at The Rock Barn in East Hartland, CT by Paul Lusky.
Dom Ursone on guitar, Rich Yirga on bass, and Mark Ahles on drums.
