GHOST OF RAINBOW’S DAWN

Bibliographies are supposed to be chronological by nature.
I’ve begun at the end of The Fables for no other reason than to highlight the partnership and professionalism I enjoyed while writing songs with Dom Ursone. After the Towers came down, life changed for everyone. Dom and I were looking at separate tunnels of probability that may just include NEVER being able to record our own original songs. We had never been in a group together, but with his ability to play lead guitar and my confidence growing as a songwriting frontman, it all made perfect sense. We started out in his basement recording original songs on acoustic guitar. The joy of doing some classic covers immediately bore fruit as we made our own arrangements that strayed away from the original versions while possibly inserting the original artist’s inspiration throughout our take.
I learned that from Bob Dylan.
GHOST OF RAINBOW’S DAWN is chosen to lead off here also to exemplify the work that the musicians and Paul Lusky, put into the track. It was the only track we inserted a sound effect into, and the storm clouds and thunder creep in slowly to let you know this won’t be a fluffy pink moment. Jonathan Lichtig and I did the Native American Drum Beats together on a pair of floor toms. Rich Yirga did the bass part I’m told, because I wasn’t there on that day, so it could have been a ghost. The star of this show is Dom with those guitar lines. I wasn’t there to watch, but I know he and Pauly were super focused on getting the right tone and attitude for the song. What a successful track all around.
Teamwork.
That’s all I ever wanted in a song, and band.
I could stop now.
